He is a former top strategist and head of external affairs for VeriSign and has led high-stakes public policy and competitive marketing initiatives for technology leaders such as Cisco, Microsoft, and Symantec.
While leading Microsoft’s successful global field campaign for ISO/IEC adoption of the Office file formats, Greg helped re-define the public dialogue about Microsoft and open-source software which laid the foundation for Microsoft’s rapid transformation from “Evil Empire” to highly respected technology leader in less than a decade.
Greg received his B.S. in Political Science from Santa Clara University and began his career on Capitol Hill advising Rep. Zoe Lofgren (CA) on cybersecurity and database protection issues.
